Goodbye 2009...

Hello 2010!

Where has the time gone? I cannot believe we have entered 2010! I remember as a little girl that seemed SO far away, like we would never see it in our lifetime, and now here it is! Two Thousand Ten! Hmmm.

Ok, let's see. Where have I left off and what do I need to fill you in on? Well, you might be in for a long winded post. Just warning you in advance, lol.

On the SUNny side of things... we've had a bumpy month over at Sunshine Studio Scraps. Things have been getting pretty slow around there and at one point they had decided it was time to close up shop. BUT! Dut-du-duh! Nicole (aka Sugarplum Paperie) and Michelle Batton, 2 of the oringinal Sunshine Girls are coming back to shake things up a bit! There are a few changes happening and I am SO excited to see the life come back into one of my favorite sites. In fact, the very first place I was accepted to CT for! We've got new challenges, a new points system, new designers! You have to come check it out for yourself!

Speaking of change... there are a lot of things happening with GET Designs as well! She has opened up a new store over at Scrappity-Doo-Dah, so go check it out! She's got a sale going on right now through the 10th, so hurry over to take advantage of that!
I can't wait to show you the page I am working on using her "Backyard Explorer" kit. I have a great photo that I have just been waiting for the perfect kit for, and I think this is it! I'm so excited to work with this kit! Just look for yourself at the great colors and adorable elements!

And something new that I haven't had the chance to announce until now! I have been accepted to be on the blog team for Brandy Designs! I get to work with all her amazing kits, just like her Creative Team does, but I have no required pages, I just have to help her and her other Blog Team members with the blog! How great is that!? I am SO thrilled, because I LOVE her designs and she is such a sweetheart! I'm loving being on her team already! I've already used her kit "Santa's Shoppe" for my blog background and I'm still trying to get around to that page of my boys opening their favorite gift from last Christmas, that I was telling you about last time. Now I've also got one of her new kits that's not even out yet, so keep your eyes open for that one! It's SO pretty! ;)

Okay... now I would LOVE to show you some of the pages I've gotten done lately. :)
I'll start with "Let It Snow". I used "Snowman Soup" by Tracey Howard Designs and "Christmas Joy" by The Ettes & Co.'s Annette Ward, both from Scrap Orchard. I did this page for a scraplift challenge over at Elemental Scraps. This is the page I lifted, and here is my page:
The photo was from last winter, one of the rare, treasured moments when Zach and Akaila got along so well!

Next is "Queen Of The Castle". I did this one for the Inspired By... Challenge, also over at Elemental Scraps. ChrissyW made the mini kit, 'Fly Away', just for the challenge and we had to use it for our layouts. Here is my page:
I love how this turned out, because the actual photos I took here didn't turn out so great. Zach was sitting on the bottom bunk of his VERY messy bed. I have a bad habit of not taking the whole view into consideration before clicking the button. But I got the idea to extract what I wanted out of the photo and I LOVE way it turned out! Zach does too, and that's good enough for me! ;)

Aww, here's one that Zach isn't so fond of... But I LOVE it! It's hard to believe that he was once so chubby, he's such a skinny little thing now. ;) Here he is in "Adorable Zachary" when he was about 8 months old. Check out those cheeks! Gotta love 'em! Hehe
I did this one for the Twisted Lift Challenge over at Polka Dot Plum. Here is the page I lifted. I used "Little Boy Blue" by Creations By Rachael. The alpha is from "Take Me Away", a blog freebie by Jennifer Fox Designs.

I did another Photo Swap challenge. This time it was at Inspiration Lane. I was paired with jrmminga09 to swap photos. Here is the page I made with her photo, "Fun In The Sun":
I used "Bahama Mama" Collab by the Sunshine Studio Designers. Contributing Designers used are: AmandaKay, TLC, Scrapidea-Timkoave, Scorpiosue, SBP, Michelle Batton, Juno and dliemert. And the template and a couple other things are from "Island Splash" Collab by the Sunshine Studio Scraps Wonder Girls. Template by WG Teri, and a paper by Lcarl.
The photo I sent her is another cheeky one of Zach. This is the page she made for me:
Cute, huh? I SO miss those cheeks! LOL!

Ok, I finished the month of December at SUN with a gorgeous kit by Ldrag Designs called "Bedazzled". Again, I had a great photo that I've just been waiting to use. This is my niece, Jenna, looking very pretty and oh so grown up! She had just had her bath before bed and her hair was down, which I hadn't seen before. She usually has it pulled back off her face. She just looked so beautiful to me. Love ya, Jenna!
I also used an alpha from another Ldrag Designs' kit, "La Innamorata!'. The mask is from 'Grungy Blending Masks' by Scorpiosue. All products found at Sunshine Studio Scraps.

Alright, last one. But, this one is one of my FAVES! Remember those new designers I told you about at SUN? Well, I got to play with them already! When I saw "La Tua Cantante" by litabells designs I knew immediately I was going to love working with it. The colors are just SO rich and warm. It is gorgeous! I also used a template pack by litabells designs called 'Block It Up'. Here is my page, "Growing Up So Fast":
I LOVE moments like this when Cody and Zach are getting along so well. But it's bitter-sweet to watch how fast they're growing up. But they are good boys, and I am so very proud of both of them. :) Yep... another year gone... Time continues to fly by.

My parting words are a prayer of blessing over the new year. I pray that you will all be blessed with good health, much love and everything you need to make this a prosperous year. God bless and love you all! Happy New Year!

Some of my kreations...

I haven't been scrappin' pages a whole lot lately, I've been so busy making all my Christmas cards! YES, That's right! I made all my cards this year! Every year I say I'm going to and I procrastinate until it's too late and end up having to send store bought ones. But not this year! I had them made up ahead of time, so it was easy to sit and print and get them all out in plenty of time for Christmas! Yay!
BUT I do have a few pages I'd like to share with you. I hope you like them...

First is "Believe". I made this one for a Word Art Challenge over at Sunshine Studio Scraps that I hosted. I made the Word Art myself, as well. This is my niece, Natalie, last Christmas.
The kits I used are "Snowman Soup" by Tracey Howard Designs, "Christmas Joy" by The Ettes and "Jolly Jingle Days" by Jady Day Studio, all at Scrap Orchard. WordArt by me, kjkreations. You can pick it up here if your interested. The template is by ~Lisa~ at Sunshine Studio Scraps for a Template Challenge.

Next is "Color Of Winter". I took this photo last year when we got more snow than I can remember ever getting here. It was SO beautiful! Everything was covered in white and took on a pale purple shade in all my photos. I thought it was just gorgeous and it went so perfectly with the kit "Cool Winter" by Janice's Scrap and LDrag Designs at Sunshine Studio Scraps.

This next one I made for my sister to give to her Secret Santa friend at work. I sure hope she liked it, I know I did! ;)Hehe
I used "Into The Night" by Stolen Moments. I love those colors together. The calendar stamps were a freebie from from Mushy. The ribbons were recolored from "Anxiously Awaiting" also by Stolen Moments.

And my last one... "No Mud!" I took these photo's on Toni's 1st birthday. Her Mommy told her NOT to play in the mud... LMBO! I think I actually heard Toni say, "Whatever, Mommy!" They get attitude so early these days, don't they? ;)Hehe For this page I used Whimpy Chompers Creations kit "Forever Sisters". I SO LOVE this kit! The colors, the elements, the papers, SO perfect.
This was actually done for a "Lift A Sugar Plum" Challenge over at Polka Dot Plum (long name for Scraplift Challenge, hehe). We had to create our own version of this adorable page by Amanda (aka Mandarin Oranges). Her image is linked as well, so go leave her some well deserved love. :)

Well, that's it for show and tell tonight. I'm in the middle of working on a page using Brandy's "Santa's Shoppe". That's the same kit I used to make my blog background, but I used so little of it here that I wanted to make a full page from it. It's of my 2 youngest boys opening their favorite gift from last year. Priceless photos! Wait and see... Until then... C'ya!

Try this fun little Challenge...

I took this little quiz for the Polka Dot Plum Blog Challenge today and found it to be pretty true! Although, I don't like lattes, I can't even stand the smell of coffee! hehe

bgcolor="#EEEEEE" align=center>

You Are Loving and Caring

You have a lot of love in your heart... definitely more than enough to go around. And the love you have for other people just keeps on growing.

You find that every person you know enriches your life in some way. You feel blessed to know the people that you do.

Your energy level is moderate. When you're by yourself you can be pretty relaxed, but when you're with people you love, you spring into action.

Your signature latte would be indulgent. You would probably request whole milk add whipped cream to the top!

Winter is on it's way!

I don't know about where you live, but it has gotten very cold here in the last few days. They are already talking about maybe getting some snow this weekend! That is very early for for us. But I'm ready for it. LOL, as long as I don't have to go out in it for anything other than photo ops! :) It's absolutely beautiful, but I am not made to handle the cold very well at all. 'Not enough insulation', I'm told ;) hehe.

Ok, last time I promised a couple new pages and I've got them for you. I really like this first one. I thought it turned out realy well, and it also displays two of my crafts in one! See, the circle elements in the page are the front and back of a thanksgiving decoration I made for some of my friends. I used an old CD that was scratched up and didn't work anymore. Remember, I showed you another one of those here. Here is "Thankful For You":
I used a template from Leenie Lou Desings @ Brownie Scraps. The kit is "Let's Get Together" by Erica Zane and Denise Beatty Originals @ Scrap Matters. I LOVE the colors in this kit!

Now, this second one I did as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) Challenge over at Scrap Orchard. See, you post one of you photos you would like to see someone else scrap for you and you take someone else's photo and scrap it for them. This is the first time I have ever done something like this, but as soon as I saw the photo that was posted I had to grab it. I love the coloring and lighting of the photo, and I knew I had to perfect kit for it. Here is "Let It Snow":
The kit is 'Christmas Joy' by The Ettes & Company; Designed By Annette Ward at Scrap Orchard. The template I used is by Ziggle Designs. I was so relieved when the girl I made it for said she loved it! I knew I liked it, but I really wanted her to like it as well. lol.

Well, now that Fall is passing us by I guess it's about time I started working on a new blog background, isn't it? I'm of course thinking either Christmas or Wintery. I haven't decided which one yet. I have so many awesome kits of both styles. Guess you'll have to wait and see what I come up with ;) Until then... C'ya!

Just a short note...

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! I did. We had the yummiest food, and I stuffed myself too full. lol And most of my family was here with us to celebrate. I am SO thankful that Grandpa was here with us again this year. There were times this year when we didn't know how much longer he could possibly make it, but he's a fighter! The only thing missing was my brother and his family and my sister and hers. But hey both called while everyone was here so we all got to talk at least.
I am SO thankful for my family and friends. For my home. For so many things. But I'm most thankful to my Heavenly Father, because without him I wouldn't be who I am today. My life is far from perfect, but I love it just the same.
What are you thankful for? I hope you told those that you love how thankful you are for them. Tell them, they need to hear it.

I have a couple pages I've finished, but I'll share those next time. Tonight I'm just counting my blessings. Good night!

Playing a little catch up...

First off, I want to wish my sister, Missy, a very Happy Birthday! I hope your day is special and that you are truly blessed this day and this year. I love you!

So, last time I told you I was accepted into GET Design's Creative Team. I'm so excited! I love her kits! I've already had the pleasure of working with my first kit. It is a collab between GET(Ginny) and ProjectB Designs(Bianca). It's called "Warm Winter Wishes" and here is the first page I made with it:
This is Zach when we where out Christmas tree hunting last year. It was like a winter wonderland out there. Snow covered everything and it was just gorgeous! We also had a lot of fun playing out there in the trees, hiding and throwing snowballs, slipping and sliding.
Along with "Warm Winter Wishes" I also used a template by ChrissyW from the 11/16 Template Challenge over at ElementalScraps. I look forward to using this kit again to make some Christmas cards and more winter layouts. You can find it in her stores HERE and HERE, and for a limited time when you buy the kit you get the add-on free! Hurry! What are you waiting for? Go check it out!

Over at Sunshine Studio Scraps, I chose another kit by Shanmomto4 Designs for my 3rd kit this month. I absolutely loved her kit "Cool And Collected". I love the blue and brown color combo and the elements are just too sweet. I used one of the photos my daughter took of her little niece because the colors were just so perfect together and I just love these photos of Emma. This is my page:
The kit I used is also from SUN. It was made my MandiN for the 11/5 Template Challenge. It was very fun to work with! I loved the crooked photo blocks.

Last night my hubby, Charles, and I took our youngest, Zach, to see "Planet 51". That is such a cute movie! Zach and I laughed through the whole thing! Charles did what he always does at the theater, he slept. LMBO! He takes very expensive naps! Hehe.

Ok, I'm off now to make some Thanksgiving gifts for some of the ladies at church. I really ought to get started on Christmas Cards soon, too. It'll be here before I know it! And, most likely, before I'm ready! lol So, I'll be back to share more as soon as I can! Until then...C'ya!

Bad blogger, and bad big sister... :(

I'm sorry I've been MIA so much lately. I have been scrapping, doing hybrid, making cards, and I'm SO tired lately.
Last weekend we got the opportunity to go see my brothers new baby girl, Khloe. She is SO beautiful! I took lots of pics, but my camera isn't working very well lately, so not too many of them turned out real well. But I did get a couple really good ones that I could use to scrapbook her first page by Aunt Krista. :) I told my brother I would have it up on my blog for him several days ago but I just kept forgetting to do that. But I'm here now, Davie! And I have the page ready for you. Here is 'Khloe's 1st Page':
Isn't she a DOLL?! She is so beautiful. I only wish they didn't live so far away. It makes me sad to know she isn't going to know who we are next time she sees us. If you remember, Davie's girlfriend and her little girl, Natalie, lived with us earlier this year. When we went to see them Natty didn't know who we were and it made me so sad! :( I wish they could lived here in town somewhere. I want to watch those little girls grow up. I want to be able to babysit them. I want them to know us as family. Hmm...

Anyway, as I said, I've been doing some scrappin'. Not a whole lot, but I wanna show you what I have done.
I hosted the Thursday Template Challenge over at the SUN this week. And I made my own template this time! See, I was surfing a ton of site earlier this week, with all the DSD (Digital Scrapbooking Day) hoopla going on I was EVERYwhere. Well, I saw a bunch of pages done on one site (which I didn't write down the name of) that were all done on the same template. I searched for the template, but couldn't find it anywhere. So I decided to make it myself! I'm am NOT a real good template maker, so it was very basic, but I liked that because it allowed the ladies to let their imaginations run. Here is a page I made using this template:
Tyler has always been a dare-devil. If you know him, you know that about him. This photo was taken at the top of a pretty steep hill in a park near our home. When I saw this kit in the SUN store I knew I had to have it! It's called 'Skater Dude' and it's by Shanmomto4 Designs. It's great for any skater boarders in your life.

I got to use Simpy.Scraps kit "Tiger and Sparky' and her template pack "Copy This 2!" to scrap a couple pages of our kitties. The other day we found the two of them napping on Steph's bed, which they aren't allowed to do, but they looked so pretty up there snuggled up in her comforter. Bella also had her front paw wrapped around Gracie's shoulder. It was SO cute! I HAD to take pictures. lol Here is "Pretty Kitties":
Then last night Zach decided to play a game of Chess against himself. LMBO! He's crazy, I tell ya! Well, when he was done playing he did what every kid does and left it laying on the floor. That's where Bella and Gracie found it and decided it looked like fun! It was just just too cute to not photograph! Here is "The purrfect Game":

I have found that I REALLY like Hybrid lately, too. Last year I found a project that I really wanted to try. It was using old CDs to make Christmas ornaments. The only problem I had was putting a hole thru the CD to string it up. Well, my precious hubby bought me a Crop-a-dile for my birthday this last week! It is amazing! It punches holes in just about anything! And VERY easily. I am loving it! I already made one as a Thanksgiving decor. I used a template by Brooke Kemp. The kit I used is 'Little Charmer' by Bella Gypsy and 'Take Stock Nov. Color Play" by BZBDesigns from Elemental Scraps. The WordArt is by Rena Kroe from the Scripture Challenge over at Scrapbook Elements. Here is "Thanks And Praise" (front and back):

I have also been making some hybrid cards. I used "Winter Wishes" by Valarie Ostrom at Sunshine Studio Scraps to make this one. The template is by Simply J for the 11/3 Tuesday Template Hybrid Edition Challenge at Scrap Matters. Here is "Winter Wishes":

One more thing... I have some really exciting news to share! I was recently accepted to CT for GET Designs! She has some really cute kits that I am anxious to work with. She is in the middle of some changes right now, so I'm being patient, lol, but I'll be back to share when I get something done.
Until then... C'ya!

Goodbye, October...

Hello, November! This year is running by so quickly, but thanks to all my digital scrapbooking, I have lots of great memories that I will never forget. What a blessing! And isn't that what this month is all about? Counting all our blessings. I can never say that without going back in my mind to singing that song in church as a young girl.
"Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count your blessings, see what God has done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count you many blessing see what God has done."
I love that song! I know I need to stop more often and count my blessing. I tend to get overwhelmed with everything that's wrong and forget all the things that are perfectly right. I hope that in this special time of the year that you, too, will count your blessing and remember to give thanks for each and every one of them.

I have just a couple pages I would like to share with you. I haven't been as busy scrapping as I had been. I'll explain why in just a minute. First, I'd like to show you my page I called "David Hill Winery in the Fall". This was another photo I took that day Charles and I went out driving around looking for fall's splendor. :) The vineyard is beautiful painted in fall colors. Have a look:
The kit I used for this page is 'Autumn Beginnings' by Lyndie Collins, Marnie Designs, Punky Princess Scraps, and Ramona the Pest at Brownie Scraps. The template is by CaroB71 at Sunshine Studio Scraps. The font is Britannic EF Extra Light.

This next one also uses one of the photos from that same day. I'm telling you there was beauty all around! When I saw this old, leaning barn I knew I had to take it's picture and I also knew I was going to try a photo action on it to make it look more antiqued. But then I came across one of my challenges that was doing that very thing, and I was so excited! I used a grungy overlay over the photo and then added the darkened frame. I really like how it turned out! This one is "Bit of Yesterday":
The kit is 'Early Autumn' Collab from Digital Crea. The stitches and ribbon are from 'Happy Summer' Collab from Digital Crea. The template is from 'Be Inspired - Amanda' Templates by WM Squared Designs. The WordArt is by Elegant WordArt by Bethany.

The sun has a new kit out in the shop that is Oh So Cute! It's called 'Warm Winter Wishes' by ProjectB. I absolutely LOVE her style! It's so fun and playful. This kit is going to be a must for scrapping those snowy days that are sure to be coming sooner than we'd like. (I'm not particularly fond of playing in the snow, but I LOVE to sit inside wrapped in a blanket and just watch it fall so peacefully.) Take a look at the preview and then you just have to go check it out for yourself. Here it is in the shop.

One last thing. I told you I've been busy doing something other than scrapping pages. before I learned about digital scrapbooing, when I did it all by hand, I used to do a lot more cards then pages, because cards were easier and so much quicker for me. I made them so often that everyone just started expecting my handmade ones. But once I found digiscrapping, that changed. I could get a page done SO much faster, so that's where I focused my efforts. Well, I have noticed a very few ladies out in scrapland that make templates for cards, instead of pages and wondered how difficult that could be. I've tried my hand at page templates and let's just say I'm better at using them than making them. hehe But I have several magazines here that I used to use to draw inspiration from when I paper scrapped my cards. So I wondered how easy it could be if I continued to draw inspiration from those to make a card template. Well, over the weekend I got 9 of them done! I LOVE it! It's so much fun, and now I can once again make and give cards to all my friends and family for every occasion, and just because! I'm starting out using them for a new Card Challenge at the SUN, starting today, Wednesday the 4th. But I'd really like to start selling them if there is enough interest in them. I just have no idea where to even begin. So if you have any advice for this newbie, I would LOVE to hear it! Leave me a comment here on my blog or email me at kjkreations@ymail.com. Here is a preview of the card I made for the challenge. I hope you'll come over and check it out in the forum, found here.
That's it for tonight. I better drag myself to bed. This cold weather makes it so hard for me to really wake up all day. I feel like I'm just draggin' myself from place to place. I hope you all have a great Wednesday! And until next time... C'ya!

Will it ever end???

I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired. lol. One bug or another has been making it's rounds through our house for the last 2 weeks! First it was the cough, congestion, headache, body aches, fever. All 3 of the boys got it one after another. Charles got a touch of it, but not too bad. And I managed to not get it at all. Yay! :) Once that seemed to be gone we seemed to have started a new round of the stomach stuff, throwing up, diarrhea, major stomach cramps. Again, one after the other, but this time they were all nice enough to share with me. Yay! :( I'm so over it all! I just want us all to be well again. Is that too much to ask? ;)

ANYway... I have a re-do to show you. I did a layout of Zach "Reading in the Shade" back in June that I just wasn't real thrilled with. The kit I used was too dark for the photos of Zach chillin' in the shade of a tree with a good book. I recently found a kit in the SUN shop that I just love! It's called "Shabby Boy" by Valarie Ostrom Designs and My Creative Pixels. It's actually the same kit I used to make the Royal Ranger pages in my last post. Well I used this kit as well as bits and pieces from a couple other kits to re-do that page and this is what I've come up with. I really like this one SO much better than the first one.
Along with 'Shabby Boy', the tree is from 'Fall's Whisper' Collab by the SUN Designers. The hearts are by Teri Merkins from 'Comfort' Collab, also from the SUN Designers. The template is a freebie from Digiland Designs. And the fonts are Cafe Rojo (title), and Cena.

The other page I've finished is called "October Leaves". I actually found the photo on my iPod. A stock photo, I guess. But I really liked it, and it goes really well with this kit I wanted to use, which is 'Fall's Whisper' Collab by the SUN designers. The template is by CaroB71 for the 10/22 Template Challenge at Sunshine Studio Scraps. And the font is Bosshole.

We went to a Silent Auction tonight up at our church to benefit Westside Christian School. I had my sights set on one thing and I was bound and determined to get it. I kept getting outbid, but... I got it! I got a gift certificate worth $150 for a Portrait Session for only $50. Tyler has to get his Senior pictures done here real soon and I've been stressing myself out over it. Those things can get really expensive! But now it's all taken care of! Yay! The girl that's doing them goes to our church and she does an amazing job! Her name is TaBetha Groshong and you can find her website here: http://groshongphotography.webs.com/ Check it out for yourself.

That's it for tonight. I'll be back soon with some more Show'N Tell :) Until then... C'ya!

Woo Hoo!!

Remember I said I had set a goal for myself to make 100 layouts this year? Well... It's only October 24th and I have achieved and surpassed my goal! I have now finished 105 pages! I surprised myself! I didn't think I could do that many. I came NO where near that last year. Must mean I've had a great year full of memories, huh? ;) Anyway, let's see what I've gotten done this past week, shall we? Warning:
I have been BUSY!

First up are my kitties. Well, the newest 2 anyway, lol. They are Gracie and Bella (respectively) and I am forever finding them up in the bathroom window sill. They love the fresh air and the sun shining in on them while they nap. Here is "Cat Nap":

Next, I did another installment of the Cat Walk pages. This one is from 2008. Remember, we do this walk every year with my Grandpa to raise money and Awareness for Cancer Treatments. Here is "CAT Walk '08":

This next one was done for the 10/20 Lyrics Challenge at Sunshine Studio Scraps. I actually hosted this challenge and knew what song I was going to choose, specifically for this page. It's a song called "Butterfly Fly Away" by Miley Cyrus. I used just a small part of the song, which reminded me of where Steph is at in her life right now and how proud we are of her. Here is "Butterfly Fly Away":

The next one is also for Steph ;). I am just so incredibly proud of her! I wish I had been more like her when I was her age. She sets her goals and doesn't let anything get in her way of achieving them. Again, another one of her Senior pictures. Aren't they awesome? Here is "Believe In Your Dreams":

I finally got around to scrapping last winters crazy snow pictures, lol. I still can't believe we got so much snow! It was the most snow I have ever seen here in Forest Grove, and I've been here my whole life! But it was also very early in the season. We don't usually see the most of our snow until January or February, and we got it in the middle of December! I'm curious what we're in for this year. Here is "One Crazy Winter":

Then I jumped back into Fall again. :) On Sunday, Charles and I went for a drive out on the backroads around town. We are blessed to live surrounded by farm land and nurseries, so the fall colors were everywhere, and it was just beautiful! I had my camera, so I went a little snap happy! Here is "Colors Of Autumn":

I finally did a page of Zachary when he was just a tiny little guy. He was only 2 months old in this picture. I love how this one turned out. Oh! And it's already been chosen as a Gallery Standout in the SUN. This is "Beautiful Baby Boy":

OMGoodness! I love this next one! One day last week while babysitting Toni I had my camera out trying to take some everyday pictures of her, but as soon as she saw the camera she was mesmerized. lol. She stopped playing and just wanted to climb up in my lap to "help". I kept hiding from her behind the camera and I got this adorable shot of her playing "Peek-a-Boo":

I made another Oct. Desktop, because I found a desktop challenge that is giving away an adorable posting bonus that I want. lol. So here is my new desktop:

Stephanie and my Mom's birthdays are only 3 days apart, so we usually celebrate them together. This photo is from their party in 2005. Mom turned 54 and Steph, 14. Here is "Celebrate This Moment":

Ok, we're down to the last one, but it is a 2 pager. LOL! These pictures are from 2004. This was the first year Charles and the boys went to a Royal Rangers Pow Wow. Royal Rangers was the Wednesday night boys club at our church. And they had Pow Wows, or campouts, twice a year, once in the summer and again in the winter, where they would learn survival skills tied into bible lessons. They loved going to camp! Here is "Royal Rangers Pow Wow '04":

Yay! That's it! I hope you weren't too bored! :P I did warn you, tho. Hehe. I'm really glad I've got some of my older photos scrapped, too. It's crazy to see how much my kids have grown in the last few years. Like I always say, They grow up too fast!
Anyway, it's bedtime now. I have church in the morning. But I'll be back very soon with something more to share. I'll try not to go so long between posts so that I don't have so many to show all at once. But until then... C'ya!

Some more pretties :)

Hey! I finally got my October desktop done! LMBO! I know... it's already the middle of the month, but at least I can look at it for another 2 and a half weeks. :) And it's really cute! I used a kit called "Wicked" by Flutterbye Faery. It's the October daily download over at Brownie Scraps. It's a super cute kit FULL of glitter. I LOVE glitter! ;) And the template is a freebie from the Desktop Challenge over at Digi Scrap Obsession. Take a look:

I also did a page for Sephanie. :) I've had this pic of her since last fall when we went to the Tillamook Forestry Center. We also did a little hiking around out by the creek, and I caught this photo of her standing on the bridge. I absolutely love the way the sun shines on her beautiful hair. Very pretty. :) The kit is 'Fall's Whisper' by Sun's Wonder Girls. The template is by Scorpiosue in Sun's 'BahamaMama' Collab. And the font is 'Turtle Club'.

I have one more pretty to show you. It's another new kit in the SUN shop. It's called 'Me, Myself' and it's by Janice's Scrap. It's a very pretty kit full of pinks and purples. It has 20 papers and over 40 elements! The butterfly is so pretty! Take a look for yourself:

Have you checked out kevinandamanda.com yet? You may also know them as "Fonts For Peas". They have the coolest free fonts and doodles. I love all their scrapbooking fonts. Their page is so easy to navigate and a fun place to be. I just started helping her out by making up some font charts for her. It's an easy task, just monotonous and time consuming. But in return, I get to add my blog button to the bottom of each chart! Get my page a little extra attention and maybe I'll get picked for another CT.

Speaking of which... Creations By Rachael is having a CT call right now, and I applied! I LOVE her designs! Today I got an email response from her saying this: "I'm just taking a quick peek at the galleries right now, but I actually stopped for several minutes to check yours out :) You have some great ones in there. Thanks so much for applying and I will be back in touch when the call is over. ~ Rachael" I am SO excited to get that email! Keep you fingers crossed for me, please! It's starting off as a guest CT position, but it might turn into permanent if a spot opens up. That's the same way I got on at SunshineStudioScraps. :)

I also shot an email off to Joanne Bain Designs to let her know I love her stuff as well. I inquired about her CT and she sent me this: "Thank you for your interest in my designs. Your galleries are truly beautiful. Unfortunately I currently have no positions available on my team, but I have filed your email for future reference." I'll be patient. ;)

ok, I better get off here and get some scrappin' done before I go to bed for the night. I'll be back... C'ya!

"Autumn Breeze"

I just had to share a fun, new kit in the SUN. It's called "Autumn Breeze" and it's by Shanmomto4. This kit is perfect for all those beautiful fall layouts. It's packed full with a variety of elements including both felt and realistic elements to create many different looks. You'll be able to use this kit over and over again. The image is linked, so click on it to go to the shop. Check it out, isn't it pretty?

Catch up time...

Sorry I've not been keeping up this week. I've been doing a LOT of Scrap Therapy. BUT! My honey is finally on his way home! YAY! I have missed him terribly this whole week! But I am happy now, because I will see him very soon. Of course, Tyler to. It's been strangely quiet around here with him gone, lol. I'm very much looking forward to them both being back.

So, let's get ya caught up on what I've been doing...
First, I found my most favorite kit yet! It's called "Country Princess" by mimi's digiscraps. It's full of pinks and browns, which is FAV color combo, AND it's country. I've always wanted a horse! The alpha is from "Neapolitan Taffy" by Dani's Delusions. And the template is from Trixie Scraps out of the "Essence Collab". All found in the SUN! The photo is of my niece, Akaila, on my brother-in-laws horse and another niece, Kayla, leading it. Here is "Horsin' Around":

I love this next one! I have an old picture of my Mom when she was about 3 years old. It's the cutest photo! I scanned it a long time ago, but have never anything with it, until now. I'd like to think I was jst waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it, and this was definitely it! I did this page for a Speed Scrap over at Elemental Scraps. The kit is "Back To Basics" Collab from Elemental Scraps. The alpha is from the Nov. Mega DDD by CAZ. And the template is by Laurie's Scraps from Ahhh Scrap Blog Train. Here is "Precious Girl":

I did my next page in a Speed Scrap at DesignsInDigital. The template was provided for the challenge by Tiger Lily's Digis. The kit is 'Boys Rule' by Scrap Berry Designs at Scrapable. I liked that I was able to use several of my photos of Cody in this one, but I plan to do pages highlighting each of them better. Here is "One Awesome Kid!":

My next page was done for a Scraplift Challenge at the SUN. You can find the page by Theresa that we were lifting here. But I also drew inspirations from this page by Caro here. I absolutely LOVE this photo of Charles and Zach, so I am thrilled that I was able to showcase it this way. The kit is 'Beachy Treasures' by Joanne Bain Designs found at PickleBerryPop. It is a gorgeous kit! Here is "Seaside Moments":
Here is a second page I just did for this one in a Speed Scrap in the SUN, using the same kit as above.
Here's one I did for an "All About Me" Challenge over at ElementalScraps. We had to scrap something that we can't go a day with out, LOL. Me? I can't go a day without my computer!
The kit is 'Cherish Friends' by Ramona the Pest Designs. The template was a freebie by ChrissyW. (I LOVE her templates!) Here is "My Daily Obsession":
And this last one is one I've been wanting to do for quite a while. I found a condensed version of President Obama's Speech To America's Schoolchildren on someone's blog (I can't remember where) and was actually really impressed by his words. I'm not a huge fan of his, so I wasn't to excited at the idea of him speaking directly to all of our kids, but like I said, I was impressed. Since finding this condensed version I have now read the entire speech and was even more impressed. He did a good job! (or at least his speech writers did, lol) Anyway, Searching through my digi stash I found this kit that I did not even know I had (which isn't really surprising :P) called "Inauguration" by DigitalFingers at eidou (which has since shut down, sorry). I got the white bow from 'Boom Boom Pow" by Penny's Creative Team at SweetShoppeDesigns. Here is "Obama's Speech To Students '09":

Whew! That is it! I told you I have been scrappin' like crazy this week. I really needed someething to pass the time waiting for my hubby to return. But in the time since I started this post, he has returned! YAY!!! So, I'm off now, to spend a little quality time with him. ;) I will be back when I have something new to share with you! Until then... C'ya!
